I have been involved in feminist, reproductive, and social justice activism since I was a teenager. I am a founding member of Friends of Iowa Midwives, a statewide grassroots organization working to increase access to midwifery and out-of-hospital birth in Iowa.
I also currently serve on the Graduate Institute Advisory Board at the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies, and am a past member of the Domestic Violence Intervention Program's Board of Directors.
I enjoy contributing to local events such as the Iowa City Conscious Birth Summit, and connecting with people through guest lectures in college classes and involvement in community groups.
